David Schwab: Welcome to the Schwab Report. This is David Schwab. Today my guest is Dr. Jason Denise. Dr. Denise is a cosmetic and restorative dentist, and he joins me today from his office in Annapolis, Maryland.
Dr. Denise, you take many hours of continuing dental education courses. Why do you put such an emphasis on continuing education?
Dr. Denise: It’s very important to stay cutting-edge. We want to be on top of the current dental technology and materials. But I practice research-based dentistry. So for that reason, we need to stay on top of current research.
David Schwab: That’s interesting. And science does change over time. I’ve heard it said that if a dentist goes through dentist school, which is a four year curriculum, and then doesn’t take any continuing dental education courses within about another four years they’re totally out of date. Would you comment on that, please?
Dr. Denise: I think that’s absolutely true with anything that’s stagnant. When we think of any field that is constantly evolving and improving, for your care and for my care we want to make sure that we are current.
David Schwab: I would like to thank Dr. Denise for joining us today.
Dr. Denise is accepting new patients, and he may be contacted through his website annapolisdds.com.
This is David Schwab, thanks for watching.
